Why does the Acton Spirt Hand Sanitizer only have a 3 month shelf-life?

From start to finish, our Hand Sanitizer was created in just two weeks. This means it's not perfect - the packaging was rushed and we have only managed to get a 3 month shelf-life so far, but launching it as quickly as possible was most important to help stop the spread of the virus. We're looking to improve the shelf-life as we continue to develop the formula.

UPDATE - JULY 2020

We have since carried out further tests and we can now confirm our Hand Sanitizer has a 3 year shelf-life. Any Hand Sanitizer with an expiry date of July 2020 can be disregarded and the product is considered safe to continue using. 

The revised expiry date will be printed on the new batches going forward. 

To help maintain the integrity of the product, store at room temperature and away from any direct heat or sunlight.
